The Ultimate, “Must-Have” Home-Based Business for YOU

The Ultimate, “Must-Have” Home-Based Business for YOU a
Underemployed, Unemployed, or Industrial Age Individual

Allow me to educate you on the issue of job security and
paint you a picture of what the aftermath can be if you
remain comfortable at your regular job. Job security is an
old-fashioned term that claims the longer an employee
worked for a particular company, the more precious that
person became. The employee was once valuable to the
company because they graduated from college, got a degree,
and/or had determination for hard labor.

In the past, it
was all right to become comfortable with your position. In
today’s society, being comfortable is the wrong thing to do
and actually, it’s a trap. This trap is the reason why
people with college degrees are without jobs and the good
workers are always the first ones released from a
professional setting. I am a Housekeeper for the Home at
Hearthstone, a nursing home in Cincinnati, Ohio. I work
from 7 A.M. to 3:30 P.M. for $8.40 per hour. The wages that
I make alone, tells you that I am working at a dead-end job
and receiving paychecks that don’t reflect a thorough
performance. I am an underemployed 19 year old-male who
attends college and makes good grades. Graduating from
college might raise my income level slightly, but it will
not secure me a job.

I am among millions of individuals who
like their jobs and work very hard at their occupations. I
am also among many Americans who believe that in order to
maintain my job; I must show up to work everyday on time,
listen to my supervisor and do a complete and thorough job.
These three things combined will not keep you your job. If
you continue to hold that belief, you’ll find yourself in
debt, have bad credit, and lose your house and other
financial obscurities. Losing what you have worked hard for
all your life is not a great feeling! What I am about to
tell you is very important and will save you time or
otherwise, reality will slap you in the face! Job Security
has departed from this world permanently.

Knowing that job
security is dead, what can YOU do to create a substantial
income? YOU need to do two things:

First, decide that you
want to work for yourself. Second, take the initiative to
start your own business. Either you can work for someone
else or you can work for yourself.

The second choice is
better than the first one. At 16, I thought that I can do
whatever I want on the job as long is my work is done. In
other words, I like to do things my way. I continue to feel
like that today in the workforce. When working for a
corporate employer, you must follow job policy at all
times. Conflict will arise when your rules don’t match
policy rules and you’re in jeopardy of losing your quicker
than you expected. If you hold similar beliefs such as
mine, then a home-based business if for YOU, which leads to
the biggest hurdle of the two steps, taking the initiative.

If you don’t take the initiative to start your own
business, then you’re making a foolish decision. Millions
of people are without jobs or working for awful wages. This
is due to a bad economy. The government will continue to
show their lack of sympathy by taking many taxes out of the
checks of lower and middle class citizens, while the rich
continue to get tax breaks. (There is a solution to that
problem if you click on the link in the resource box and
click on the Taxwayz link inside my website.) On August 25,
2004, I joined the Moneywayz program because my goal is to
make more money with a home-based business within a few
months than I make with my regular job in an entire year.
Within minutes of reading the brochure, I decided to put my
skepticism to the side and take a chance because if you do
not take chances, your income will become stagnant and you
will still be a subordinate to your supervisor. Can you
afford to live without money?

If you plan to start a
home-based business, but don’t have an idea on exactly what
you want to do, then the following may be the most
important. Would you like to become a part of a business
that provides you with power-packed tools to become a
business success on the Internet? Would you like to join a
business who believes, “The Greatest Music Is Money”? Would
you like to end financial depression? If this is correct,
then read on further to the resource box. Educate yourself
and develop your skills so you can be a demand for
financial success!

Paul Wilson II, a second-year college student, business
owner will take you by the hand and paint YOU a picture of
the exact results achieved with the Moneywayz program!

Celebrities Can’t Have It Both Ways

Filed under: Plugs — admin at 10:37 pm on Sunday, May 25, 2008

Corporations are willing to pay substantial amounts of money to prominent
personalities so that consumers will relate the brand with their favorite star,
and thus will be more likely to buy the product. The buying public imparts
credibility to the celebrity because of his or her charisma as well as the
credibility that comes with prominence in the media. The power of someone’s
personality also entails risks for the brand with which they are associated,
because any controversial behavior may reflect badly on the product. This has
become an especially frequent problem in recent times.

Whoopi Goldberg, for example, lost her Slim Fast contract due to her abrasive
remarks regarding the President. The people at Slim Fast did not want their
brand associated with a personality embroiled in controversy, who was likely to
upset people by insulting a respected figure. In 1989, Pepsi dropped Madonna
for her “sacrilegious” “Like a Prayer” video. McDonald’s allowed Kobe Bryant’s
contract with them to lapse after a woman accused him of rape. After allegedly
entering a special treatment program for anorexia, Mary-Kate Olsen vanished
from the “Got Milk?” campaign. Hip-hop star Ludacris became another Pepsi
casualty when executives heard Bill O’Reilly remark upon the obscenity of the
rapper’s lyrics, and decided he wasn’t beneficial for their soda’s reputation.

Sometimes celebrities act indignant when they lose an endorsement due to
remarks they made or other forms of expression in which they indulged, as if
their freedom of speech has been violated. Whoopi Goldberg felt she was being
“punished” for speaking freely. The First Amendment says nothing about
having an inherent right to multi-million dollar deals, just that the State cannot
prosecute you for the content of your expression. On the other hand, if the
State were to dictate Slim Fast’s ad campaign by forcing them to retain
Goldberg, that would be a violation of Slim Fast’s rights.

For many years, celebrities like Whoopi have made enviable amounts of money
from endorsements, but now that they are getting axed so frequently, they
may need to take caution if they want to keep this source of revenue.
Celebrities are not so irreplaceable and unique. Companies fed up with
prominent scandals can easily resort to lesser-known actors who have not
accumulated a reputation, bad or otherwise. Advertisers can even employ
animated or animal mascots, who have absolutely no independent life of their
own, and thus will not ever bring shame upon the company name. Thus,
household names who lose their reputation may also lose their big advertising
money to, let’s say, Tony the Tiger. This phenomenon brings to mind what
Cassius said in Shakespeare’s Othello, “O, I have lost my reputation!… and what
remains is bestial.”

Superstars have to make a choice when it comes to endorsements. They have
to realize that companies have reasons for keeping them, and for getting rid of
them. If celebrities want to do as they please, they cannot expect companies to
put up with everything they do and keep on paying them. Eminem lives by his
own rules, and companies never hire him for endorsements; but he doesn’t
seem to care. Those who care about the exposure and money associated with
endorsement deals must cultivate a good reputation, maintaining healthy,
controversy-free public personas. Otherwise, we will keep seeing more and
more stars disappearing from the ad campaigns in which we have become
accustomed to seeing them.

James Cameron’s Dark Angel: The Video Game Review for Playstation 2 (PS2) and XBox

Filed under: Plugs — admin at 4:43 pm on Monday, April 7, 2008

The pathetic attempt to create a Dark Angel video game ended in unparalleled disaster. This game made a mockery of the once popular television series, basically rubbing the fans faces in the dirt. If you can’t do it right then don’t do it at all. This was one of the least imaginative games that I have ever seen and truth be told I could have more fun playing an old odyssey game than this crap. The Dark Angel series may have been canceled and public interest for anything Dark Angel may have been slim, but that is no excuse for this kind of debasement.

There is basically no story line going on here, Max attempts to rescue her siblings with the help of Logan Cale, blah, blah, blah. What else is new? The dialogue between the character Max played by Jessica Alba and the character Logan played by Michael Wheatherly sounded less like people than something robotic. I know they can do better than that so what’s the problem here? There is no excuse for doing a half-ass job have some self-respect this is your career.

The graphics for the game were horrendous, the same cop cars and trash cans will show up in nearly every section. You can’t tell one section from the next because they reuse all of the same graphics. The graffiti looks the same on each of the walls, the characters all look the same, but with different gear on. Max and Logan look similar to the actor and actress that played them, but Original Cindy doesn’t even come close. The boss characters, Beetle, Gecko, Bear, and Stingray (how original) are the most pathetic things ever to appear in a video game.

The gameplay has a rigid feel to it, there is a set path to follow with no room for deviations. The character Max must find a way to get past each section by either using a keycard that she gets from killing a guard or setting something up to explode. If Max is detected by the guards a timer begins and you have only minutes to kill every bad guy you see before it is game over for you; this is the most difficult part of the game. Max has a few moves that they have given her, but they are the same moves that she uses throughout the entire game and they aren’t even that good. Logan pipes in from time to time to let Max know what’s going on around her, usually at the beginning of each section, but sometimes in the middle of a battle which throws you off.

The camera for Dark Angel gets caught in walls or you can’t see down when you are on a second story to see if there are any bad guys down there, not that if they fixed it it would make much difference in how well received the game was. There was just not much fun in playing this game, it would have been a hit when the first Nintendo game came out, but video games have progressed so much farther since then. If you are a fan of the Dark Angel series your best bet is to buy the boxed set and the books; playing this will just let you know how far it fell when people stopped watching it.
