Gucci Eyeglasses Replace Apparel as Show of Wealth

Brand recognition is a major sales ingredient. Anyone that spots the emblem on Gucci eyeglasses knows instantly the brand name, price point, and quality rating. Now that the economy has taken a turn, some buyers are receiving the same comfort and recognition with brand name accessories. Those same Gucci eyeglasses with the double-G logo now hold the same seal of approval as head to toe Gucci clothes that would normally be free of branding.

Because financial pocketbooks are being tightened for the everyday consumer, just simply implying luxury or luxury branding at a lower price point can have a major impact on sales. One such illustration is the sneakers from the Nike Air Force 1 and 2 collections, also known as the Air Force “Gucci”. Notice that Gucci appears in quotations because the sneakers were merely inspired by the design house and not part of a collaborative effort. The “Gucci” 1 used what is clearly a knock off of the Gucci canvas print but with symbols merely resembling the double-G insignialogo, and white trim. The “Gucci” 2 was simply an all black sneaker with the signature red and green stripes as an all over accent trim. At first look, this sneakers appears to be direct from the Gucci catalog. The connoted relationship to Gucci makes this one of the most coveted and moneymaking sneakers for Nike.

Fake goods will never stand up to the quality of its genuine look-alike. Large corporations with recognized brand names and logos are typically the first targets. Resorting to counterfeit measures means we have let materialism get the better of us. Buying genuine Gucci is understandably the right choice. Finding and buying genuine Gucci is easier and more affordable than you may think. Just stick to the new recession rule and invest in quality Gucci accessories and eyeglasses.
